Kerametköy VI

Domearc Architecture’s sixth project in Kerametköy, Orhangazi reflects a consistent design approach grounded in the needs of its users. In Kerametköy VI, a design language that develops with every project brings technical maturity and aesthetic sensitivity together. With 170 m² of usable space, the building is integrated into two different site levels. This stepped arrangement responds to the natural topography and gives depth to the organisation of spaces. Entered from road level, the main living floor includes a generous living room, kitchen, pantry, bathroom and a large terrace facing the view. The terrace is conceived as a transition between indoors and outdoors. A specially designed screen separates the home from the road, adding privacy and a further architectural layer. Inspired by Asian timber architecture, its form brings rhythm and changing shadows to the façade. On the lower floor, a principal bedroom, two further rooms and a bathroom offer private spaces closely connected to nature. A veranda in front of the principal bedroom provides a quiet place overlooking the lake. High ceilings, panoramic views, an expressive screen and a generous terrace combine architectural simplicity with technical detail. Exterior fire-protection systems contribute to the performance and longevity of the building envelope. Kerametköy VI is Domearc’s interpretation of contemporary architecture in harmony with nature: balanced and enduring in its relationship with both its setting and its users.
