Built shortly after the conquest of Istanbul and given its final form by Mimar Sinan in 1588, this bathhouse reflects the characteristic features of classical Ottoman bath architecture. Its original stonework and domes, preserved over centuries, make it one of the city’s oldest examples of civic architecture. Following restoration, the building was repurposed as the Eyüpsultan Türbe Bathhouse Museum. Today it presents the culture and craft of bathing as a living museum, bringing historic heritage together with a contemporary approach to display.
