Kaşgari Murtaza Efendi Tekke

Set on a distinctive part of the Pierre Loti slopes in Eyüpsultan, Kaşgari Murtaza Efendi Tekke is an important expression of the spiritual and architectural heritage surviving from the 18th century. After deterioration through time and neglect, the complex was revived through comprehensive restoration and conservation. The project focused not only on repairing a building, but also on re-establishing its relationship with the surrounding historic residential fabric and burial ground.
